.DISCUSSION...

Search site and General Ely Forecast -

Mostly cloudy today with rain chances increasing later this
morning and lingering through the early evening hours. Rain will
be very scattered in nature and a few isolated thunderstorms will
be possible (20%) in the afternoon. No severe weather is expected.
Rain amounts will largely be less then a tenth of an inch, however
if a storm moves over this quantity will jump. Winds will be out
of the north an occasionally gust into the teens.

Quieter weather is on the horizon with Wednesday sporting sunny
skies, light winds, and highs in the upper 60s.

Ely Visibility and Ceilings -

VFR ceilings to start the day. A widespread cumulus field will
lead to BKN skies by late morning. Most guidance suggests these
ceilings will be between 4000-5000 ft. With a 20% chance of
ceilings becoming MVFR. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms may lead to brief reductions in visibilities.

Expect clearing skies in the overnight period and mostly sunny
skies for Wednesday.
