  West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville affecting Emmet County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville, or from the
  Iowa-Minnesota border...to near Wallingford.

* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Impacts...At 10.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding occurs
  particularly over the parkland areas near the river. At 11.0 feet,
  Mike Mickelson Park south of Iowa 9 is inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Wednesday evening and continue falling and remain below flood
    stage.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
