...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Iowa River near Tama Hwy E49 affecting Tama County.

  Cedar River at Cedar Falls affecting Black Hawk County.

  Des Moines River at Des Moines SE 6th St affecting Polk County.

  Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr affecting Polk County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr, or from Walnut
  Creek...to the Des Moines River.

* WHEN...Until Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 11.3 feet, George Flagg Parkway is closed from Park
  Ave to SW 30th St.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 12.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow evening and continue falling and remain below flood
    stage.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

  Cedar River...to the Cedar Falls-Waterloo city limits.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 89.7 feet, Water affects the road at 1712 and 1118
  Cottage Row Rd.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 89.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling and remain
    below flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 89.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, The bike trail is closed east of Water St.
  Water affects portions of other bike trails.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 24.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling and remain
    below flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

  forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...The Iowa River near Tama Hwy E49, or from Timber Creek
  near Le Grand...to Salt Creek near Belle Plaine.

* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 13.6 feet, Water may cover US 30 east of Le Grand.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 13.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Sunday afternoon and continue falling and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
