...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Iowa, including the following
  counties, Hancock, Kossuth and Winnebago.

* WHEN...Until 645 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain
  closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all the
  water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in
  urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1037 AM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing
    flooding across the warned area. Between 5 and 7 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Algona, Forest City, Britt, Union Slogh, Eagle Lake, West
    Bend, Burt, Whittemore, Titonka, Wesley, Leland, Crystal
    Lake, Woden, Duncan, Miller, Hayfield, St. Benedict,
    Irvington, Sexton and Hutchins.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
