...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa
across the greater Des Moines River Basin...

  Des Moines River at Des Moines SE 6th St affecting Polk County.

  Des Moines River at Fort Dodge affecting Webster County.

  East Fork Des Moines River near Algona affecting Kossuth and
  Humboldt Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The East Fork Des Moines River near Algona, or from
  Buffalo Creek near Burt...to Lotts Creek near Livermore.

* WHEN...Until Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water threatens US 169 near Saint Joseph
  and may affect it south of Algona.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.6
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO SATURDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Des Moines River at Des Moines SE 6th St, or from
  below the Center Street dam...to Runnells.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 25.7 feet, Water surrounds the base of Simon Estes
  Amphitheater.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 22.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon to a crest of 25.8 feet just after midnight
    tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Des Moines River at Fort Dodge, or from the municipal
  power dam...to Lehigh.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to late Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Water affects lowland areas near the river
  and threatens residences along the river in Fort Dodge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 11.3 feet early Friday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
