...NWS Damage Survey for May 24, 2024 Tornado Event...

An NWS damage survey in and around the City of Johnston has been
completed, identifying damage consistent with an EF0 tornado.  More
details below.  Additional analysis of radar and damage information
continues from this morning`s storms.

Survey Summary:
A fairly concentrated area of primarily tree and power line damage occurred
in and near the City of Johnston.  The damage appeared to begin near Terra Park
with an approximately 3 mile path extending northeastward towards Beaver Drive.
Tree and power line damage was consistent with winds speeds of 75 to 85 mph,
or EF0 damage.

following categories:

EF0.....65 to 85 mph
EF1.....86 to 110 mph
EF2.....111 to 135 mph
EF3.....136 to 165 mph
EF4.....166 to 200 mph
