DECATUR...SOUTHEASTERN MADISON...WAYNE...EASTERN RINGGOLD...WESTERN
APPANOOSE AND CLARKE COUNTIES THROUGH 345 AM CDT...

At 255 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles west of Leon to 6
miles southeast of Corydon. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Osceola, Chariton, Leon, Corydon, Lamoni, Rathbun Lake, Lakeside
Casino, Murray, Seymour, Russell, Allerton, Humeston, Mystic,
Kellerton, Grand River, Van Wert, Lineville, Lucas, Garden Grove, and
Davis City.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 1 and 43.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for
south central Iowa.
