CANCELLED...

The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out
of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for central Iowa.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR EASTERN
POLK AND WEST CENTRAL JASPER COUNTIES...

At 505 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Valeria, or 9 miles northeast of Altoona, moving
northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
eastern Polk and west central Jasper Counties, including the
following locations... Valeria.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 153 and 158.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
