...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Iowa River at Marengo affecting Iowa and Benton Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued by Thursday evening at 730 PM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Iowa River at Marengo.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Moderate Flood Stage. Extensive inundation
  of agricultural land.
  At 18.0 feet, Water breaches the mill race dikes near Middle Amana.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The river has fallen from 16.8 feet this
    morning. However, it is expected to begin to rise again this
    evening as routed flow from upstream begins to arrive.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.6
    feet Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
