...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Jackson, northern
Cedar and Jones Counties through 530 PM CDT...

At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Charlotte to near Stanwood. Movement was
north at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Maquoketa, Anamosa, Monticello, Bellevue, Preston, Olin, Wyoming,
Oxford Junction, Miles, Andrew, Martelle, Onslow, Monmouth,
Springbrook, Morley, Center Junction, Spragueville, Fulton,
Hurstville, and Stone City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
