...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Mercer, northwestern
Warren, western Whiteside, northeastern Henderson, southeastern
Carroll, Rock Island, western Henry, Scott, southeastern Clinton,
northeastern Des Moines, east central Muscatine and southeastern
Louisa Counties through 615 PM CDT...

At 529 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Charlotte to near
Mediapolis. The line is moving east at 25 mph. Individual storms are
moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects
         is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, Clinton, East Moline,
Morrison, Aledo, Silvis, Geneseo, Eldridge, DeWitt, Milan, Colona,
Camanche, Le Claire, Coal Valley, Fulton, Burgess, and Hampton.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 74 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 5.
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 288 and 306.
 Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 18.
 Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 27.
 Interstate 88 between mile markers 1 and 28.
 Interstate 280 between mile markers 1 and 18.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
west central Illinois...and southeastern Iowa.
