...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN DUBUQUE...NORTHWESTERN JONES...SOUTHEASTERN DELAWARE
AND NORTHEASTERN LINN COUNTIES...

At 744 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Colesburg to near Dyersville to near Monticello
Municipal Airport, moving northeast at 70 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Dyersville, Farley, Earlville, Hopkinton, Delhi, New Vienna,
Colesburg, Worthington, Holy Cross, Ryan, Luxemburg, Rickardsville,
Delaware, Balltown, Bankston, Bankston Park, Cottage Hill, Finley`s
Landing Park, New Wine Park, and Waupeton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northeastern
and east central Iowa.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage across east central Iowa. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a
sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
