...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM CDT
FOR JO DAVIESS...NORTHWESTERN CARROLL...NORTHWESTERN STEPHENSON...
JACKSON...SOUTHEASTERN DUBUQUE AND NORTHWESTERN CLINTON COUNTIES...

At 841 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Elizabeth, or
12 miles southeast of Galena, moving northeast at 50 mph. Another
severe thunderstorm was located near Maquoketa alos moving
northeast.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Maquoketa, Galena, Bellevue, Warren, Preston, Hanover, Elizabeth,
Woodbine, Delmar, Andrew, Scales Mound, Apple River, La Motte,
Menominee, Welton, Springbrook, Council Hill, St. Donatus, Nora, and
Zwingle.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northwestern
Illinois...and northeastern and east central Iowa. A Tornado Watch
also remains in effect until midnight CDT for northwestern Illinois.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
