IAP will be printed at 1PM on Thursday, May 30. Ignitions planned to
start between 5 and 6PM on
May 30, 2024 and continue into night until conditions do not support
ignitions. UAS may also be
used for ignitions so any information on winds aloft is helpful as
well as for smoke management.
Burning will resume on Friday, May 31 as conditions allow and
where/as needed to complete the
unit.  Provided lat/long is a ridgetop location near highest
elevation and the unit is both east
and west aspects of the ridge to the bottom of each aspect (Rail
Creek and Dry Creek). The north
end of the unit is the first continuous east/west ridge in Mendocino
County that has a fire road
along it. Most of the unit is in Sonoma County. No preference on
which NWS Office provides the
spot weather forecast. A portable RAWS was set up but is not
transmitting data. The Cooley
Ranch/158PG weather station is located to the east of the unit at a
lower elevation.  Please email
