...Near Critical Fire Conditions Out West For The Rest of This
Afternoon Into Mid-Evening...
The early season heat wave continues for the rest of today into
Monday. RH values will drop below 10 percent over the far western
areas along the Rio Grande where fuels remain critically dry. NW
winds over this region this afternoon will dry fuels fast. Similar
setup is anticipated for parts of the Rio Grande Monday afternoon.
Winds speeds should remain below 15 mph. A few storms are possible
on Monday afternoon/evening and again Tuesday afternoon/evening.
Some of the stronger storms could produce large hail and damaging
wind gusts. Slightly less hot weather is expected for the middle
of the week, and there could be some low chances for rain through
the mid to late part of the work week.
