.DISCUSSION...
The early season heat wave will continue to escalate temperatures
and heat index values over South Central Texas, peaking this weekend
into Monday. Humidity values in the afternoons today through
Monday west of the dryline, mainly Val Verde County, will be
low into the teens and single digits each day. Wind speeds should
stay below around 12 mph through that stretch although some brief
periods of elevated fire weather conditions will be possible
through the weekend. A few storms are possible over the Hill
Country and Central Texas through this evening and another chance
for isolated storms could come with a front as early as late
Monday. Slightly less hot weather is expected for the the middle
of next week, and there could be some low chances for rain each
day.
