.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions and benign weather are expected to persist across
north and central Georgia today. Minimum RH values this afternoon
will drop to 28-35 percent across the majority of the forecast area,
with slightly higher values in the higher elevations of far north
Georgia. Winds will be NW at 8-12 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. W
With ample sunshine, mixing heights of 6500-7500 ft, and transport
winds from NW at 12-18 mph, vent rates will be good for the
remainder of the afternoon. Winds will diminish after sunset,
shifting to nearly N at 5 mph or less by Thursday morning. A weak
disturbance aloft on Thursday will bring increased cloud cover and
the potential for isolated, very light sprinkles to portions of west
Georgia on Thursday. Minimum RH values will mainly range from 35-45
percent on Thursday afternoon. Winds on THursday afternoon will
return to NW, but remain lighter than today, at 5-8 mph
