.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time.
Winds and relative humidity values will remain outside of critical
thresholds.
Dry conditions are expected for the remainder of the day with
minimum relative humidity ranging generally from 45% to 55%.
20-foot winds and transport winds will be south-southeast to
south-southwest at 3-8 mph and 5-10 mph, respectively. Mixing
heights will top out between 4500 feet and 5500 feet this
afternoon.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected
tomorrow (Thursday) morning through the evening across north
Georgia. A few strong to severe storms will be possible with gusty
winds, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning. 20-foot winds will
be south-southwest to southwest at 3-8 mph and transport winds
will be south-southwest to west at 10-15 mph. Minimum relative
humidity will range from 45% to 55% with locally greater values in
the mountains. Mixing heights will generally peak between 3700
feet and 5700 feet.
