...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Oconee, southeastern
Barrow, Morgan, Clarke, eastern Walton, northwestern Greene,
southeastern Jackson, western Oglethorpe, southwestern Madison and
east central Newton Counties through 1000 AM EDT...

At 932 AM EDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from Gratis to near Ebenezer to Newborn, and moving east at
55 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, frequent cloud to ground lightning and
         heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Winder, Monroe, Madison, Greensboro, Watkinsville, Danielsville,
Lexington, Athens, Social Circle, Statham, Comer, Winterville,
Bogart, Crawford, Rutledge, Newborn, North High Shoals, Bethlehem,
Colbert, and Bostwick.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 PM EDT for
central, north central, northeastern and east central Georgia.
