...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Spalding,
southeastern Fayette, northern Meriwether, Pike, northern Monroe,
northern Upson, Butts, Newton, south central Rockdale, southern
Morgan, northwestern Putnam, Henry, south central Walton,
southeastern Coweta, southern Clayton, Jasper and Lamar Counties
through 1230 PM EDT...

At 1150 AM EDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from Oxford to near Luthersville, and moving southeast at
35 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Griffin, McDonough, Covington, Thomaston, Barnesville, Eatonton,
Jackson, Madison, Forsyth, Monticello, Zebulon, Hampton, Locust
Grove, Social Circle, Oxford, Porterdale, Rutledge, Newborn,
Flovilla, and Milner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
