...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN CHEROKEE...WESTERN BUENA VISTA AND NORTH CENTRAL IDA
COUNTIES...

At 235 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles northeast of Aurelia to Storm Lake to 7 miles
northeast of Arthur, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

These severe storms will be near...
  Storm Lake, Lakeside, and Truesdale around 240 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Rembrandt.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for northwestern
and west central Iowa.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
