The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Bosque County in central Texas...
  East Central Hamilton County in central Texas...
  Southwestern Hill County in central Texas...

* Until 530 PM CDT.

* At 234 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain along a line from near
  Cranfills Gap to Clifton to Whitney. Very heavy rain and street
  flooding has been observed in the Clifton area, where between 1
  and 3 inches of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
           poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Clifton, Hamilton, Whitney, Laguna Park, Cranfills Gap, Lake
  Whitney, Lake Whitney State Park, Aquilla Lake, Cedar Shores,
  Lakewood Harbor, Norse, Aquilla, Womack and Cayote.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are numerous low water crossings which are
dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find
an alternate route.
