...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of North Texas, including the following
  counties, Cooke, Fannin, Grayson and Lamar.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain
    due to thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and small
    stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will
    experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch
    of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch
    are possible.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sherman, Paris, Bonham, Whitesboro, Denison, Reno, Van
    Alstyne, Howe, Pottsboro, Leonard, Honey Grove, Collinsville,
    Whitewright, Gunter, Blossom, Bells, Tom Bean, Savoy, Ector
    and Roxton.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
