...Preliminary Storm Survey Scheduled in Bell County on May 23rd...

The National Weather Service office in Fort Worth, TX will
conduct a storm survey on Thursday May 23rd for areas from
Morgan`s Point to Temple to Seaton in eastern Bell county. The
survey is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved
through the area on the evening of May 22nd. Video of a tornado on
the western side of the city of Temple was received, and this
survey will assess the extent of damage from this storm.
Additional areas may be surveyed if further storm reports are
received.

An assessment including results of the survey are expected to be
completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement by
Thursday evening.

A major contribution to the success of our severe weather warning
program is the receipt of storm reports from all of our customers
and partners. If you witnessed or are aware of any storm damage
due to high winds or tornadoes, please contact your local
emergency management office or send us pictures at:
