Some isolated showers may be possible in the far northeast today but no wetting rains are expected. Then, a slow, dry warming trend will set up through Tuesday night with a ridge passage. As the ridge breaks down Wednesday afternoon and evening strong to severe thunderstorms will begin to move in across the region along a cold front. High confidence(70-90%)exists for wetting rains with this event. Cooler, wet conditions linger into Thursday. Then a dry warming trend is expected into the weekend.
