...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR GOSPER AND EASTERN FURNAS
COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
north central Kansas...and south central and central Nebraska.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN SMITH...NORTHERN PHILLIPS...FRANKLIN...PHELPS...
KEARNEY...BUFFALO...SOUTHERN SHERMAN...EASTERN DAWSON AND HARLAN
COUNTIES...

At 1139 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Hazard to near Odessa to near Alma, moving
northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

These severe storms will be near...
  Kearney, Odessa, Wilcox, Pleasanton, Funk, Riverdale, Republican
  City, Hazard, Huntley, and Ragan around 1145 PM CDT.
  Axtell and Harlan County Dam around 1150 PM CDT.
  Ravenna, Hildreth, and Poole around 1200 AM CDT.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 238 and 290.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
