...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR EASTERN PHELPS AND EASTERN
HARLAN COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
north central Kansas...and south central and central Nebraska.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT
FOR NORTHERN SMITH...NORTHEASTERN PHILLIPS...WEBSTER...ADAMS...
WESTERN HAMILTON...EASTERN BUFFALO...HALL...WESTERN CLAY...
FRANKLIN...WESTERN NUCKOLLS...KEARNEY...SOUTHEASTERN SHERMAN...
SOUTHWESTERN MERRICK AND SOUTHERN HOWARD COUNTIES...

At 1233 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Archer to near Rosemont to 7 miles south of
Riverton, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

These severe storms will be near...
  Red Cloud, Harvard, Giltner, Glenvil, Lawrence, Chapman,
  Marquette, Inland, Cowles, and Rosemont around 1240 AM CDT.
  Guide Rock around 1250 AM CDT.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 275 and 329.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
