This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are forecast to develop
Thursday afternoon and evening east of Highway 25 in northwest
Kansas and southwest Nebraska. Storms will be capable of producing
large to very large hail and damaging winds; a tornado may also be
possible near sunset.

A cold front then moves across the area where additional severe
storms may be possible east of Highway 83 again with large hail and
damaging winds. Wind gusts up to 50 mph, not associated with
thunderstorms, are possible to the west of Highway 83.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect Thursday from 11 AM MDT to 9 PM MDT
for Cheyenne and Kit Carson counties in Colorado as well as Sherman,
Wallace and Greeley counties in Kansas. Southwest winds gusting 25 to
35 mph during the warning period will shift to the north to northwest
with gusts up to 40 mph in the evening as a cold front moves through.
This will create unpredictable fire behavior for any ongoing fires.

For the holiday weekend, there will be a chance for storms both
Saturday and Sunday, with severe storms possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
