Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

A few storms moved through Southwestern Nebraska and Northwestern
Kansas during the overnight hours, with skies clearing as the
night has gone on. Temperatures as of one in the morning ranged
from 49 in Flagler, Colorado to 60 in Gove, Kansas. Winds shifted
to out of the northwest as the front passed at 25 to 40 mph with
a gusts between 45 and 65 mph. Winds since have lowered to 20 mph
with gusts up to 35 mph.

OUTLOOK... For today, a more mild day is forecast with mostly
sunny skies and temperatures warming to around 70. Winds will
slowly lower through the day. There could be a few showers this
evening in Eastern Colorado, but otherwise tonight is forecast to
see mostly clear skies with lows in the 40`s and low 50`s.
Saturday, another system is forecast to move over the region and
increase cloud cover through the day. Even with increased cloud
cover, highs should warm into the upper 70`s and 80`s.
Thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon and evening
hours.
