...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CHEYENNE AND SOUTH
CENTRAL KIT CARSON COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO THROUGH 1100 PM
MDT...

At 1041 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 16
miles northeast of Kit Carson, or 20 miles northwest of Cheyenne
Wells, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Cheyenne and south central Kit Carson Counties in east central
Colorado.

This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 154 and 174.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
