From the late morning through the middle of the afternoon, showers
and thunderstorms developed over central Wisconsin and moved east
at 30 mph into the Fox Valley. Some storms were producing wind
gusts between 30 and 40 mph. Another area of showers developed
from Rhinelander to Egg Harbor. Temperatures were warm this
afternoon, and ranged from the upper 60s to upper 70s across the
region. The warm spot this afternoon was Shawano where the mercury
reach 78 degrees.

The showers and storms will end by mid-evening.

Additional showers and thunderstorms are forecast to overspread
the region on Friday as a cold front and upper-level disturbance
sweep across the Upper Midwest. A few of these storms may become
strong or severe Friday afternoon into early Friday evening,
especially south of Highway 29. Highs on Friday will be in the
middle 60s to lower 70s.
