...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND SUDDEN WIND SHIFT APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Pentwater MI...

At 754 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Port Washington to 17 nm
northeast of Wind Pt. to Winthrop Harbor, moving east at 30 knots.

Weather stations across Wisconsin indicate a sudden shift to
westerly winds and frequent lightning are expected with these storms.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
