...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CABARRUS AND CENTRAL MECKLENBURG
COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 PM EDT...

At 947 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles northwest of Badin Lake to 3 miles
southeast of Downtown Concord to 6 miles north of Uptown Charlotte.
Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Huntersville, Kannapolis, Downtown Concord, Northeast Charlotte,
Northwest Charlotte, West Concord, Harrisburg, Mt Pleasant,
University City, and Reedy Creek Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
