...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CABARRUS...
MECKLENBURG...SOUTHEASTERN GASTON...NORTHERN UNION AND NORTHEASTERN
YORK COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM EDT...

At 653 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles northeast of York
to 10 miles northeast of Monroe. Movement was north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Gastonia, Charlotte, Monroe, Matthews, and Mint Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
