...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL SPARTANBURG AND
NORTHERN UNION COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM EDT...

At 831 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles southeast of Spartanburg, or 4 miles southeast of Croft State
Park, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Union, Pacolet, Monarch Mill, Buffalo, Jonesville, Croft State Park,
Pauline, and Adamsburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Conditions are favorable for development of a very brief, weak
tornado. Be prepared to take immediate action if a tornado is sighted
or a Tornado Warning is issued.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
Upstate South Carolina.
