The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Madison County in western North Carolina...
  Northwestern Haywood County in western North Carolina...

* Until 445 AM EDT.

* At 409 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 9 miles southwest of Greeneville to 9 miles
  southeast of Newport to 10 miles east of Gatlinburg, moving east at
  45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Marshall, Hot Springs, Smoky Mountains-Cataloochee, Smoky
  Mountains-Big Creek, Waterville, Fines Creek, Max Patch,
  Allenstand, Walnut, and Luck.
