* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Catawba County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  McDowell County in western North Carolina...
  Rutherford County in western North Carolina...
  Northeastern Polk County in western North Carolina...
  Western Lincoln County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Southwestern Caldwell County in western North Carolina...
  East central Buncombe County in western North Carolina...
  Western Cleveland County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Burke County in western North Carolina...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 759 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 9 miles northwest of Morganton to 16 miles east of
  Downtown Asheville, moving southeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Hickory, Morganton, Newton, Forest City, Marion, Rutherfordton,
  Black Mountain, Conover, Longview, and Sawmills.
