CENTRAL BUNCOMBE COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...
The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
western and the Piedmont of North Carolina. A Severe Thunderstorm
Watch also remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for western and the
Piedmont of North Carolina...and Upstate South Carolina.

At 825 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles south of Morganton to 8 miles west of
Rutherfordton, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include...
Hickory, Morganton, Newton, Forest City, Marion, Rutherfordton,
Conover, Longview, Valdese, and Spindale.
