the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for western
North Carolina.

FOR WESTERN BUNCOMBE COUNTY...

At 340 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of
Downtown Asheville, or near Leicester, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
         damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
North Asheville, Woodfin, Weaverville, Leicester, UNC-Asheville,
Candler, Flat Creek, Enka, and West Asheville.
