The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of
the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.
Additional strong to severe storms are possible later. A Severe
Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for western
North Carolina.

FOR CENTRAL MITCHELL COUNTY...
At 509 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles north of
Spruce Pine, or 4 miles north of Bakersville, moving northeast at 25
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include...
Bakersville, Buladean, and Bandana.
