241 WGHW80 PHFO 171032 FLSHFO Flood Advisory National Weather Service Honolulu HI 1232 AM HST Fri May 17 2024 HIC003-171200- /O.CON.PHFO.FA.Y.0076.000000T0000Z-240517T1200Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Honolulu HI- 1232 AM HST Fri May 17 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM HST EARLY THIS MORNING FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN...Until 200 AM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1230 AM HST, radar indicated moderate rain over eastern Oahu. Rain was falling at a rate of around 0.5 inches per hour. Rainfall is redeveloping to the south and is expected to move back into central and west Oahu shortly. Stream levels continue to run high across the island. - This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action. A Flood Watch is also in effect through Friday evening. && This advisory may need to be extended beyond 200 AM HST if flooding persists.
