.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

North winds 20-35 knots will prevail in the wake of the line of
storms that passed off the coast earlier this morning. Recreational
boaters should stay in port until conditions improve. Slow
improvement is anticipated during the late morning and early
afternoon hours, though winds will take a while to transition back
to the southeast. Additional rounds of showers and storms will be
possible through the weekend with rain chances tapering off next
week. Some of these storms could become strong to severe,
producing damaging wind gusts and locally elevated seas.
