Northwestern Montgomery County in southeastern Texas... South Central Walker County in southeastern Texas... * Until 930 AM CDT. * At 631 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Montgomery, Dacus and Dobbin. Rainfall from the previous day resulted in high water along FM 1097, with portions of the roadway along the northeast side of Montgomery washing out. High water was also reported at FM 149 at Little Lake Creek and Lawson Street at Liberty Street. Additional rainfall may exasperate flooding issues at these locations.
