...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  counties, Chambers, Galveston and Liberty.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 859 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause
    minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Liberty, Anahuac, Ames, Daisetta, Hardin, Devers, Winnie,
    Stowell, Gilchrist, Rollover Pass, Bolivar Peninsula, Crystal
    Beach, Hankamer, Wallisville and Oak Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
