...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  counties, Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Harris and Liberty.

* WHEN...Until 1045 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 846 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already
    caused minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Pasadena, northeastern Pearland, Baytown, Friendswood, Deer
    Park, South Houston, Beach City, Highlands, Channelview,
    Cloverleaf, northwestern Clear Lake, South Belt / Ellington,
    Greater Hobby Area, Mont Belvieu, Shoreacres, Old River-
    Winfree, Cove, Morgan`s Point, San Jacinto State Park and
    Houston Ship Channel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
