...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN GRIMES...
NORTHEASTERN BRAZOS AND SOUTHWESTERN MADISON COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 AM
CDT...

At 1122 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Wixon Valley, or 11 miles north of Bryan, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Kurten, Wixon Valley, and Iola.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Gibbons Creek Lake, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
southeastern Texas.
