The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama...
  Southeastern Marshall County in northeastern Alabama...

* Until 830 AM CDT.

* At 520 AM CDT, emergency management reported water covering
  roadways and a few stranded cars in Albertville, AL. Between 2 and
  3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1
  inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Albertville, Boaz, Guntersville, Crossville, Fyffe, Geraldine,
  Douglas, Lakeview, McVille, Painter, Hustleville, Kilpatrick,
  Whiton, Lathamville, Arona, Hopewell, Rodentown, Lake Guntersville
  St Park, Chigger Hill and Rabbit Town.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
