...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Florence...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Tennessee River. The river may reach flood stage
early next week. If this forecast trend continues, a Flood Warning
may be required.

The Tennessee River at Florence.
* At 8:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.4 feet.
* Action stage is 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above 17.0 feet
  Sunday     approach flood stage early Tuesday.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.


All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
