...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Florence...

Runoff from recent heavy rainfall is expected to cause river levels
to rise on the Tennessee River at Florence. Although it is not
expected to reach flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands
may still occur. If additional rainfall occurs, the river could
still reach Flood Stage.

The Tennessee River at Florence.
* At 4:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.9 feet.
* Action stage is 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall to 16.7 feet this morning, then
  rise to 17.9 feet Monday morning. It will fall to 17.0 feet early
  Tuesday afternoon. It will then rise to 17.1 feet early Wednesday
  morning. It will fall again and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.


All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
