468 FLUS43 KICT 230837 HWOICT Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Wichita KS 337 AM CDT Thu May 23 2024 KSZ032-033-047>053-067>072-082-083-091>096-098>100-240845- Russell-Lincoln-Barton-Ellsworth-Saline-Rice-McPherson-Marion-Chase- Reno-Harvey-Butler-Greenwood-Woodson-Allen-Kingman-Sedgwick-Harper- Sumner-Cowley-Elk-Wilson-Neosho-Chautauqua-Montgomery-Labette- 337 AM CDT Thu May 23 2024 This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas, South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight A few isolated hit-or-miss thunderstorms are possible across the region today through this evening. The threat for large hail, damaging winds, and perhaps an isolated tornado will exist. The tornado threat will be confined to this evening mainly west of the Flint Hills. Thunderstorm chances may increase from the northwest later this evening and overnight, with this activity posing a threat of 50 to 65 mph winds. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Increasing thunderstorm chances will impact the region Saturday afternoon through night. There is potential for higher-end severe weather, including very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. Stay tuned as we continue to refine forecast details. Lingering showers and thunderstorms are possible Sunday through Sunday night, but severe weather appears unlikely. After a mostly dry Monday and Tuesday, thunderstorm chances could increase across the region by Wednesday of next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
